Went kitesurfing yesterday and today.
Yesterday was difficult but I revised most aspect of safety.
Today was good fun (bodydrags and a few attempts standing on the board)
at least until that append to me.
Stepped on some corals and cut my foot.
A trip to hospital later, 3dinars and a few stitches and my foot looks like that.
By the way, E&A here are very efficient only took 1h to get everything done and quite cheap as well. I guess not having drunken people around probably helps a lot.
Only problem they are not very organised, and they make you go up and down hospital corridors to go see different doctors and nurses until the last one says you cut your foot, you're going to need stitches. duh yeah, I said so to the first nurse.
On another note, a picture of the Pearl round about at night. Looks great with the light effect and the fountain they put on for the 10 years celebration of King Hammad.
Just wished we had a better camera.

Isa Town market
Went to the Isa Town market today.
They sell everything, from copied DVDs to door knobs and also furniture, clothe (including hats, scarves and winter jackets) and all sorts of animals (including a monkey and apparently some weeks they have crocodiles too)
Looked like a car boot sale 15 years ago.
but saw some cool stuff
Funky Coloured chicks
QUIZZ QUESTION: how do they do it? (answer at the bottom)
Ned's idea of heaven
Answer to the quizz: apparently they insert dye into the egg yolk before they hatch. Only crazy scientists would think of doing that.
Undressed my baby today

It rains here too
Incredible
It rains in Bahrain, and not just a little bit
the funny part is that the roads are transformed into mud
People just don't know how to drive in the rain
we see more hazard lights switched on than headlights
With greasy roads, a flinch of my big toe and the car is sliding: SCARY
UPDATE: It rained most of last night and this morning too, with thunder and lightning (very impressive from our apartment) and now 9am, it is lovely again, sun is shining with 21 degrees

Pottery Making
Yesterday we visited the Ali pottery near Isa Town. They still make potteries in the traditional way.
